National Jamboree on opening day.  It's about 110 degrees outside and blazing sun.  The blue trailer on the right hand side is QBSA, the National Jamboree radio station.

It's hard to tell but the heat index when this picture was taken was 125 degrees and the sun was incredibly hot.  Our boys were out in the crowd.  Mr. Duffy was with the Fire Truck to the left side of this picture. 

About an hour later, the entire arena was empty and huge thunderstorms were rolling through the Jamboree area.

The heat index for the Jamboree ranged between 100-125 degrees all week long.  How did Michael manage to stay so pale while Ryan has such an awesome tan?  Gallons and gallons of sunscreen...
