Pedro Outing, April 2004, Manchester State Park, WA

The annual Troop 361 Pedro outing is for first year Scouts.  It's a chance for boys and their parents alike to get introduced to camping and to work on Tenderfoot requirements.  This particular outing was at Manchester State Park near Gig Harbor, WA.

Sort of plush, eh?  The ground and grass here were completely rock free and so soft you didn't even need a pad under your sleeping bag...

Moms, the boys cooked these hamburgers all by themselves...

Scavenging on the beach at low tide.  The boys are collecting little crabs for a crab race.
